Victoria line progress

I expect the Victoria line to be uploaded within the next few days.

I’m sorry about the wait, there was more “minor jobs” to finish off than I initially thought.

I’ve decided to name this release version 4.1, as I don’t feel enough has been completed to name it version 5 yet. This release will consist of a run from Walthamstow Central to Brixton, with new stations at Stockwell and Brixton. I’ve also included Brixton sidings, where after some runs you will need to stable your train.

Over the past couple of days I’ve been working on the signalling in the route, the colour light signals are now the photorealistic objects made by Dan Lewis over at BVE Western Region with photorealistic route indicators and animated shunt signals made by myself.

Whilst runs into Victoria sidings and from Kings Cross siding and Northumberland Park Depot have been created, the rail objects still need a lot of work and as I am planning on re-building the London Underground rail set completely I feel this wouldn’t be a productive use of development time.

I’ll leave you with a screenshot of the new signals and Brixton sidings. I’m personally quite pleased with the curved walkway and the lighting effects in the tunnel. Eventually the rails will have the same lighting effects, but as I said I don’t want to spend too much time working on something that I’m planning on replacing.
